  • That's better. We spent about £40.00 on wood and trellis, reclaiming some of the good wood from the existing arch. We actually used the original holes to anchor it in place and concreted the posts in to secure it. To finish it off we stained the main posts green like the fence and the shed and left the trellis natural for contrast. The jasmine and roses climbing over it were saved from the old arch by disentangling them and tying them to one side while we erected the new one, draping them back over when it was complete so it actually looks pretty well established. We also get a much better view down the garden as it is so much taller than the old one. The Feverfew was amazing this year springing up everywhere.
